Former Kano State Governor, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, alongside former Anambra State Governor, Peter Obi, on Thursday convened a high-level meeting with chairmen of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) from the 19 Northern states.
The meeting, which took place at Kwankwaso’s residence in Maitama, Abuja, was attended by senior party leaders as well as members of the National Assembly representing the party.
According to sources at the meeting, the engagement centered on strategic discussions aimed at strengthening the party’s structure and expanding its political influence across the country.
Party leaders also deliberated on pathways to enhance unity, grassroots mobilization, and overall success of the NDC ahead of future political engagements.
The gathering is seen as part of ongoing efforts by key opposition figures to consolidate support and reposition the party for greater national relevance.
