Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf says his administration is fully committed to delivering victory for President Bola Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress in the 2027 general election.
Yusuf spoke during an interactive session with elected and appointed officials at Government House, Kano. According to a statement by his spokesman Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the governor said Kano would mobiliser overwhelming support for the President’s re-election because it believed in the administration’s leadership and vision.
He directed all political appointees yet to register as APC members to do so immediately, insisting that every official must identify with the ruling party and help strengthen its structures ahead of the elections, and reaffirmed his resolve to secure victory at presidential, governorship, legislative and local government levels.
To motivate office holders, the governor approved the allocation of plots of land to more than 300 political aides, including senior special assistants, special assistants and personal aides, along with a payment of N100,000 to each beneficiary.
Assembly Speaker Ismail Falgore said the party had every reason to promote the President’s achievements, while Kano APC Chairman Umar Haruna Doguwa said the party was fully prepared for the contest with the Kwankwasiyya movement and confident of victory.
