IGP Disu Visits EIB Group to Strengthen Police Technology, Operational Capacity

The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, has paid a working visit to the EIB Group as part of efforts to enhance the technological and operational capabilities of the Nigeria Police Force.

The visit, hosted by the Chairman of EIB Group, Dr. Bright Echefu, focused on exploring advanced security technologies and strengthening collaboration between the police and the private sector in addressing evolving security challenges across the country.

During the tour, the IGP inspected several facilities under the EIB Group, including EIB Stratoc Limited in Idu, which specialises in surveillance solutions; Poctova, a security uniform production facility; Briech UAS in Kuje, known for drone manufacturing; and Giga Forensics in Idu, which provides forensic and interception solutions.

The inspection highlighted the growing role of technology-driven solutions in modern policing, particularly in intelligence gathering, surveillance, forensic investigations, and crime prevention.

Speaking during the visit, the police chief reaffirmed the commitment of the Nigeria Police Force to adopting innovative technologies capable of improving operational efficiency and strengthening national security.

The engagement also underscored the importance of strategic partnerships between security agencies and indigenous technology firms in building a more responsive and effective policing system.

The Nigeria Police Force has in recent years intensified efforts to modernise its operations through the deployment of digital tools, forensic systems, and intelligence-based policing strategies aimed at tackling emerging security threats across the country.
