The Friends of Ogiame Organization Group has called on Nigerians to support President Bola Tinubu’s reelection bid in 2027, saying the administration’s economic and governance reforms are laying the groundwork for long term national development.

Director General Esther Okotie Eboh made the appeal during a conference and women’s empowerment programme held for women from the Warri Federal Constituency in Delta State, where more than 200 women received items including cooking pots, coolers and gas cookers. She said the event was designed both to mobilize support for the Renewed Hope Agenda and to encourage citizens to embrace continuity and stability, describing the gathering as centered on the country’s future rather than politics alone.

She said Tinubu had made difficult but necessary decisions to reposition the economy, including the removal of fuel subsidy and unification of the foreign exchange market, arguing that these reforms have improved transparency in the financial system, boosted investor confidence and increased revenue available to states for development projects. She also credited the administration with advancing road, rail and energy infrastructure, strengthening local government autonomy and supporting small businesses, food production, education, healthcare and youth entrepreneurship.

Okotie Eboh said reform is never easy after decades of resource mismanagement, but that Tinubu has shown the will to confront the country’s toughest challenges, adding that tax reforms are improving compliance and revenue generation while relief programmes for vulnerable Nigerians are gradually taking effect. She declared the group’s support for a second term for the president and urged members to mobilize peacefully ahead of the 2027 elections, thanking the Olu of Warri and other local leaders for their support of the event.
