Governor Umo Eno on Monday led a delegation of leaders and stakeholders from Akwa Ibom State on a formal consultative visit to the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The visit, according to the governor, was aimed at appreciating the Senate President for his continued support for peace, unity, and development in Akwa Ibom State, as well as seeking his blessings as political engagements intensify ahead of the next election cycle.
Governor Eno said the delegation also used the opportunity to reaffirm its commitment to working in alignment with national leadership, including support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Senate leadership, and broader efforts to promote unity and development across the state.
He expressed gratitude for the warm reception accorded to the delegation by Senator Akpabio, noting that the Senate President’s encouraging remarks further reinforced the importance of cooperation and political stability.
Governor Eno stressed that his administration would continue to prioritise peace, unity, and progress in Akwa Ibom State above all other considerations, adding that sustained collaboration among stakeholders remains key to the state’s development trajectory.
