Nigeria’s largest power generation company, Egbin Power, held its Employee Recognition Awards 2026, naming Amos Oshanugo of the Instrumentation and Control Department as the year’s Top Performer and awarding him a brand-new Chery Tiggo 2 Pro SUV at a ceremony that brought together management and staff to celebrate outstanding contributors across the organization.
Chidima Celestine of the Operations Department and Endurance Otaru of the Business Operations Department were recognized as first and second runners-up respectively, each receiving cash rewards. Additional employees across various departments were recognized as top talents for 2025.
Egbin Power Chief Executive Mokhtar Bounour described excellence as something built through hard work, teamwork, and the courage to go beyond expectations, and said recognizing exceptional performance created a ripple effect that motivated teams to raise their standards, strengthened accountability, and deepened the collective commitment to powering Nigeria. He said the company’s people were its greatest asset and that their growth and success would always remain a priority.
Oshanugo attributed the achievement to his department and the broader Egbin Power workforce, saying teamwork was the key to the company’s success. Celestine said the recognition motivated her to work even harder and uphold the values of safety, reliability, and teamwork that drove the plant forward.
