Dangote Cement’s market capitalization reportedly reached approximately ₦20.62 trillion on October 26, 2026, after its shares climbed 10 percent to ₦1,222.10 on the Nigerian Exchange. The price represented a reported 52-week high and more than double the stock’s opening level of ₦609 at the start of the year.
Market commentators linked some of the renewed investor interest to publicity surrounding a separate proposed public offering involving Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals. That connection remains an analyst interpretation rather than an established cause of the cement company’s share movement.
Dangote Cement’s first-half figures cited in the report showed revenue of ₦2.514 trillion, up 21.4 percent, and earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization of ₦1.188 trillion, an increase of 25.8 percent. Group sales volumes were put at 14.9 million tonnes, while earnings per share reached ₦38.22.
Chief Executive Arvind Pathak attributed the performance to stronger volumes, sustained demand and cost discipline. The company also reported a net cash position of ₦215.2 billion at the end of June.
Investors should distinguish the listed cement company from the refinery business. Share price gains do not establish the value or merits of a separate securities offer, whose regulatory status, terms and deadlines require verification from official disclosures.
