The Allied Peoples Movement has elected a new National Working Committee and returned Yusuf Mamman Dantalle as national chairman for another term.
The party held its elective convention in Bauchi with delegates from the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
Twenty seven members were elected into the party’s national leadership.
Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed was also inaugurated as national leader of the APM.
Dantalle thanked delegates for renewing his mandate and said the party would work to strengthen its organisation ahead of the 2027 elections.
He described the new term as a responsibility to build a stronger political platform capable of responding to the concerns of Nigerians.
Governor Mohammed said the party would focus on insecurity, economic hardship, national unity and development.
He also pledged support for the party’s presidential ticket.
Mohammed highlighted the security experience of former Department of State Services Director General Lawal Daura, whom he described as an important part of the party’s national team.
He also praised the technical and planning background of the party’s presidential candidate.
The governor said the APM would broaden participation and seek support across the country.
Party leaders said the convention marked the beginning of a more intensive mobilisation effort ahead of the next general election.
