The Allied Peoples Movement has asked the Presidency to provide more information about President Bola Tinubu’s health and official schedule during his three-week working vacation in Europe.
The opposition party said the length of the leave had generated public speculation about whether the President remained fully able to discharge his duties.
APM National Publicity Secretary Abubakar Yusuf called on the Presidency to clarify the President’s health status, itinerary, entourage and work schedule while abroad.
The claims of possible incapacitation were raised by the APM and have not been supported by independent evidence in the material supplied.
The Presidency has previously described the trip as part of the President’s annual leave and said he would continue receiving briefings and handling state matters.
The APM also used its statement to criticize the administration’s economic and security record.
It cited figures on poverty, public debt, insecurity and alleged corruption.
Those figures and accusations were presented by the party as political claims and should not be treated as independently established findings without separate verification.
The party also criticized Tinubu’s decision to seek another term in 2027 and promoted its own presidential candidate, Seyi Makinde.
The APM argued that Nigeria required a younger president and said Tinubu should withdraw from the race.
That position is part of the party’s electoral advocacy.
The Presidency had not been quoted in the supplied material responding directly to the APM’s latest demand.
The exchange reflects the way Tinubu’s working vacation has become part of wider opposition criticism as political campaigns intensify ahead of the 2027 election.
