APC Turns on Critics, Insists Tinubu’s Reforms Are Delivering Despite Opposition Noise

The national leadership of the All Progressives Congress has pushed back forcefully against what it described as a coordinated campaign of misinformation being orchestrated by opposition elements and disgruntled individuals to discredit the achievements of the Tinubu administration, insisting that objective assessment of the government’s record showed clear and measurable progress across multiple sectors.

APC National Chairman Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, speaking through his Senior Special Assistant on Media, Malam Yusuf Dingyadi, accused opposition-affiliated groups of leveraging social media to circulate false and misleading narratives designed to distort public perception of the administration’s performance. He characterised the campaign as a reflection of political desperation among individuals who placed personal ambition above national interest.

Yilwatda argued that a fair and honest assessment of the current administration revealed visible gains in security, infrastructure development, agriculture, education, and healthcare delivery. He said the federal government had initiated numerous projects and reforms aimed at improving citizens’ welfare and laying the groundwork for long-term national development.

He reserved particular criticism for what he described as the use of vulgar language and reckless criticism to undermine national efforts, especially in the context of northern Nigeria, and called on well-meaning Nigerians to reject such tactics.

“The use of vulgar language, reckless criticism, and the deliberate spread of false information is unacceptable, especially when the country is working hard to overcome the challenges inherited before President Tinubu assumed office,” he said.

The APC chairman said the party’s National Working Committee remained committed to policies aimed at strengthening the economy and improving public security, and that the government’s agenda continued to prioritise road construction, housing development, social intervention programmes, and expanded agricultural initiatives to bolster food production and economic resilience.

He urged Nigerians to remain alert to politically motivated misinformation and called for constructive engagement rather than unfounded criticism as the more productive path toward democratic growth and national unity.
