Anthony Joshua Confirms December 11 Showdown Against Tyson Fury

British-Nigerian heavyweight boxer Anthony Joshua has confirmed that his highly anticipated fight against fellow Briton Tyson Fury will take place on December 11.

Joshua announced the date through a post on his social media platforms, ending years of speculation over a contest many boxing fans have long demanded.

The heavyweight showdown is scheduled for the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales.

Joshua and Fury have been linked to a blockbuster clash for nearly a decade, with negotiations previously collapsing on two separate occasions despite advanced discussions.

The fight will be Joshua’s second outing since his victory over Albanian boxer Kristian Prenga in July 2026.

In that contest, Joshua recovered from two first-round knockdowns before securing a dramatic second-round knockout win in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

The former world champion also overcame personal tragedy after narrowly surviving a road accident on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway during the 2025 Christmas holiday period.

The crash claimed the lives of two of his close associates, Sina Ghami and Latif “Latz” Ayodele.

The confirmation of the fight date is expected to generate significant interest among boxing fans worldwide, with many viewing the contest as one of the most important heavyweight bouts of the modern era.
