Adeleke Says Osun Has Paid N80bn in Inherited Salaries and Pensions

Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke says his administration has paid more than N80 billion in inherited salary, pension and half salary obligations.

Speaking during an interaction with organised labour, Adeleke said his government had restored regular salary and pension payments, implemented a N75,000 minimum wage and funded outstanding promotions.

He also highlighted the enrolment of pensioners and traditional rulers in the state health insurance scheme, recruitment of teachers and youth empowerment and digital training programmes.

The governor said the measures were part of a broader commitment to workers’ welfare and promised to consider further wage adjustments once a new agreement was reached.
