ADC Campaign Council Tells Aggrieved Members More Appointments Are Coming

The African Democratic Congress Presidential Campaign Council has appealed to members who were left out of its initial appointments to remain patient, saying additional positions and structures would be announced as the campaign expands.

In a statement issued by Director of Strategic Communication Phrank Shaibu, the council said the appointments already released represented only an early phase of its national organization.

Shaibu said consultations were continuing and more senior appointments, zonal structures, state structures and grassroots organizations would follow.

He acknowledged that some party members and supporters were disappointed that their names did not appear in the first list but said earlier sacrifices and loyalty had not been forgotten.

The campaign said it intended to draw on experienced politicians, professionals, young people and other supporters.

According to Shaibu, the next phase would extend the campaign structure down to wards and polling units.

The council also said it was developing a broad policy framework around the cost of living, food security, agriculture, security, energy, jobs, industrialisation, manufacturing, small businesses, education, healthcare, infrastructure, housing, public finance, governance, technology, social protection, natural resources and human capital.

Shaibu said the campaign wanted to present practical policy responses rather than treat national challenges as isolated problems. He described the effort as a people-driven campaign and said additional roles would continue to be created as the organization expands
