Accord Support Group Sets Six-Million-Vote Target for Olawepo-Hashim in North-West

Campaign movement plans ward-level mobilization across seven states ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

A political support group backing Accord Party presidential candidate Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim says it is targeting at least six million votes across Nigeria’s North-West in the 2027 general election.

The Hashim Progressive Movement announced the goal through its regional coordinator, Aminu Aminu, who also identified himself as Accord’s senatorial candidate for Jigawa Central.

Aminu said the campaign would operate in Jigawa, Kano, Kaduna, Katsina, Kebbi, Sokoto and Zamfara, using ward-level and door-to-door engagement. He said women and youth organizers would work alongside the party’s legislative candidates to coordinate mobilization.

The movement described Olawepo-Hashim as a candidate capable of addressing insecurity and economic hardship while appealing to voters beyond his immediate political base. It said the campaign would connect presidential outreach with local candidates and community concerns.

The six-million-vote figure is an organizational ambition rather than an electoral forecast. The supplied statement does not provide polling data, voter registration analysis or evidence that the target is achievable.

As parties and campaign groups prepare for the next election, the movement’s effectiveness will depend on the strength of its local structures, its ability to persuade undecided voters and whether campaign pledges address the priorities of residents across the region.
