Residents and landowners in Jikoko community, Mpape, have protested what they described as the unlawful takeover of their property by private developers.
The protesters marched with placards calling on the Federal Capital Territory Administration and President Bola Tinubu to intervene.
They said they held land documents issued by Bwari Area Council between 1999 and 2003.
The landowners argued that their allocations predated more recent legal disputes over the authority of area councils to allocate land.
They alleged that fences, foundations and other structures had been demolished without formal revocation notices.
Those claims were made by the protesters and were not independently established in the source material.
A spokesman for the group, Emma Okorie, estimated that between 50 and 100 hectares could be affected.
He said residents had been told that the land had been reallocated to private developers.
The protesters also questioned the speed with which they said development approvals had been granted.
They appealed to FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, the Federal Capital Development Authority and the National Assembly to investigate.
Another resident, Kamorudeen Olalekan, said some developers claimed to have received Certificates of Occupancy for the area.
The protesters said they had not received revocation letters or other formal communication explaining why their interests were being displaced.
They also said Bwari Area Council had not been able to resolve the dispute.
The case raises questions about land title validity, allocation authority, compensation and due process.
A final determination would depend on official land records, applicable court decisions and any administrative or judicial review of the competing claims.
