Adeola Promises Creative Industry Support and Youth Jobs in Ogun Governorship Bid

Senator Solomon Adeola has outlined plans to strengthen Ogun State’s creative economy, support youth entrepreneurship and improve employment opportunities if elected governor in 2027.

At an interactive forum in Abeokuta titled Gen Z Asks, Yayi Listens, Adeola said young people should have access to platforms that identify talent, develop skills and connect them with opportunities in entertainment, culture and tourism.

The senator proposed a stronger role for the state’s culture and tourism ministry and said he would work with businesses to expand opportunities for qualified local applicants. He also promised publicly advertised vacancies and measures to retain skilled professionals, particularly doctors and nurses.

Adeola said he would pursue a Ministry of Wealth Creation to coordinate empowerment and skills programmes. He also pledged improvements to roads and education infrastructure, presenting the proposals as part of a wider development agenda.

Forum convener Kira Taiwo said the meeting gave young people an opportunity to influence policy discussions. The pledges are campaign commitments rather than funded government programmes; the candidate’s nomination status, implementation costs and legal feasibility should be assessed separately.
