Abba Abubakar, identified as a son of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, has publicly endorsed President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid and announced the formation of a political mobilization organization ahead of the 2027 general election.
At a press conference in Abuja, he described the decision as an independent political choice and unveiled the Haske Bola Tinubu Organization. He said the group would promote the administration’s policies, engage communities and build support across the country.
Abubakar announced plans for a mobilization march involving an intended two million participants across Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones and said the organization would provide ten buses to support transportation, initially in the Federal Capital Territory. These are announced plans and commitments, not completed outcomes.
In a separate development, Dr Maryam Shetty outlined a plan to mobilize 500,000 professional women in Kano in support of Tinubu and Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf. She said the platform would bring together professionals from healthcare, business and other sectors to participate in community development and political engagement.
The endorsements illustrate differing political choices within families and organizations but do not establish the position of Atiku Abubakar or any other family member.
