APC Names Wike, Adeleke and Soludo in Revised Tinubu Campaign Structure

The All Progressives Congress has published a revised presidential campaign council list naming Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike, Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke and Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo as coordinators for the FCT, Osun and Anambra respectively.

The appointments are notable because the three politicians are associated with parties other than the APC. Wike is a member of the Peoples Democratic Party, Adeleke is identified with Accord, and Soludo belongs to the All Progressives Grand Alliance. The supplied announcement does not establish that any of them has formally changed party membership.

According to a notice attributed to APC National Secretary Ajibola Basiru, the council’s inauguration was scheduled for Wednesday at the Presidential Villa in Abuja. Vice President Kashim Shettima was named first vice chairman, while APC National Chairman Nentawe Yilwatda was listed as second vice chairman.

Senate President Godswill Akpabio, House Speaker Tajudeen Abbas and Kwara Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq were listed as deputy vice chairmen. Former Zamfara governor Abdulaziz Yari was retained as director-general, supported by regional deputy directors and directorates covering mobilisation, election planning, logistics, legal affairs, communications and policy.

Other names on the published structure include Femi Gbajabiamila for administration, James Faleke for election planning, David Umahi for infrastructure mobilisation, Hope Uzodimma as council secretary and Hadiza Bala Usman as assistant secretary. Regional campaign roles were assigned to figures including Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Peter Mbah, Bassey Otu, Umar Bago, Uba Sani and Ali Modu Sheriff.

The party also identified Delta Governor Sheriff Oborevwori with finance and treasury, Ogun Governor Dapo Abiodun with fundraising, and Atiku Bagudu with policy and manifesto work. A communications team was listed with Idris Malagi and Dele Alake among its leading figures.

Separately, Umahi used the launch of the Lambata-Bida-Mokwa-Makera-Kontagora highway project in Niger State to argue for Tinubu’s re-election. He said the administration had initiated thousands of kilometres of road construction and needed more time to complete its programme. Governor Mohammed Bago also pledged electoral support, while a Dangote Group representative outlined the company’s involvement through an infrastructure tax-credit arrangement.

The campaign appointments and claims about project delivery are presented as statements by the party and its supporters. The revised list and the named politicians’ acceptance of particular roles should be confirmed with the relevant offices before publication.
