Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, has paid a condolence visit to the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal S.K. Aneke, following the tragic crash of the Nigerian Air Force aircraft, NAF 931, which claimed 25 lives.
The visit took place on Friday, October 9, 2026, as the police chief conveyed the condolences of the Nigeria Police Force to the leadership, officers, and personnel of the Nigerian Air Force, as well as the families of the victims.
Disu expressed deep sorrow over the incident and reaffirmed the solidarity of the police with the Air Force during the difficult period.
He prayed for strength and comfort for the bereaved families and colleagues of those who lost their lives in the crash.
The Nigeria Police Force, in a statement after the visit, said it remains united with the Nigerian Air Force and honoured the service, dedication, and sacrifices of the personnel who died in the line of duty.
