Femi Otedola has increased his interest in First HoldCo Plc after acquiring an additional 138.04 million shares valued at about N18.11 billion.
A regulatory filing on the Nigerian Exchange showed that the transaction was executed through Calvados Global Services Limited at N131.20 per share.
The purchase, completed on August 6, increased Otedola’s holding to 26.7 per cent, representing about 11.9 billion shares.
The latest acquisition follows another large purchase in July 2026 that lifted his stake to about 26 per cent.
First HoldCo shares have also recorded strong gains on the Nigerian market.
The stock closed at N145.40 after rising by N15.85 from its July closing level of N129.55.
The company’s shares have advanced sharply since the beginning of the year, supported by investor demand and expectations surrounding ongoing reforms.
Otedola has previously said he has invested more than N600 billion of his personal funds in the financial services group and regards the investment as a long term commitment.
His latest purchase further strengthens his position as the dominant shareholder in First HoldCo.
