Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara has declared support for President Bola Tinubu and All Progressives Congress governorship candidate Kingsley Chinda ahead of the 2027 general election, aligning himself with the Rainbow Coalition formed by his predecessor, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory Nyesom Wike.

Speaking at the foundation laying ceremony for a medical industries project in Rivers State, Fubara said the previously contending political factions in the state have resolved their differences and agreed to work together for peace and development. He urged his supporters to back Tinubu, Chinda and other ruling party candidates in the coming elections regardless of past political divisions, saying the time for conflict in the state has passed and that anyone loyal to him should extend that loyalty to the coalition’s full slate of candidates.
