The organisers of Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) have announced that Season 11 of Nigeria’s biggest reality television show will premiere on Saturday, July 26, with the opening live show scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m.

The announcement was made on Wednesday through the show’s official social media platforms, confirming that the new season will air 24 hours a day on DStv Channel 198 and GOtv Channel 49.

In a statement accompanying the announcement, the organisers said:

“It’s official now, the Big Brother Naija Season 11 will premiere on 26th of July by 7PM, showing 24/7 on DStv 198 and GOtv 49.”

Ahead of the launch, the organisers had earlier teased the return of the highly anticipated reality show with a message urging prospective contestants and fans to prepare for another exciting season.

“The spotlight is waiting. No hiding, no playing safe,” the teaser read.

Fans were also encouraged to reconnect their DStv and GOtv subscriptions to ensure uninterrupted access to the show from its opening night.

Although the premiere date has now been confirmed, the organisers are yet to unveil the list of housemates, this season’s theme, and the grand prize, all of which are expected to be announced before the July 26 debut.

Since its debut in 2006, Big Brother Naija has grown into one of Africa’s most-watched reality television shows, producing several entertainment stars and attracting millions of viewers across the continent.
