Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich have completed the signing of Germany international Nathaniel Brown from fellow German side Eintracht Frankfurt.

The 23-year-old defender has signed a five-year contract that will keep him at the Allianz Arena until June 2031.

Speaking after completing the move, Brown described joining Bayern as a dream come true, expressing his excitement at representing one of the world’s biggest football clubs.

“Bayern is one of the best clubs in the world. It means so much to me to have the chance to play for this club and it fills me with pride,” he said.

Bayern’s Sporting Director, Max Eberl, said the club had been tracking Brown’s progress for some time and believes his versatility, rapid development and impressive performances at the 2026 FIFA World Cup make him an important addition to the squad.

“We’re delighted to have brought Nathaniel Brown to FC Bayern,” Eberl said. “He has enjoyed such rapid development but still has so much potential and is one for the future. He made his mark at the World Cup and showed why we’ve been looking at him for a while. He’ll expand our options in both defence and midfield.”

Brown joined Eintracht Frankfurt from Bundesliga 2 club Nuremberg in the summer of 2024 and quickly established himself as a key player. During his two seasons with Frankfurt, he made 75 competitive appearances, scoring seven goals and providing 13 assists.

The German-American defender has also become a regular in the national team since making his senior debut under Germany head coach Julian Nagelsmann in October 2025. He has earned eight international caps, scoring his first goal in Germany’s 7-1 victory over Curaçao, before further enhancing his reputation with a string of impressive performances at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Bayern will hope Brown’s arrival strengthens their defensive options as they prepare for the new domestic and European campaigns.
