Commissioning the Lameco Flyover Bridge in Osogbo, Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke pointed to the project as proof his administration’s local content policy works, evidence, he said, that local engineers can meet world class standards without relying on foreign expertise.
The flyover is only one of several mega projects now ready for public use, Adeleke said, part of a broader push to rebuild the state’s roads, bridges, health facilities, education infrastructure and water systems, all delivered, he stressed, through due process and transparency and without mortgaging the future of Osun’s children. He cited more than 27 kilometers of completed roads within Osogbo alone and over 300 kilometers statewide, with more than ten major projects finished and awaiting formal commissioning. He closed with an appeal to the public and the Ministry of Works to protect the new bridge from street trading and vandalism.
