APC Osun Candidate Says He Remains Tinubu’s Anointed Choice, Dismisses Presidential Endorsement Reports for Adeleke

All Progressives Congress governorship candidate in Osun State, Bola Oyebamiji, has insisted that he remains the only candidate endorsed by President Bola Tinubu for the August 15 governorship election, rejecting reports suggesting the president had indicated support for incumbent Governor Ademola Adeleke and describing such claims as a coordinated propaganda effort designed to mislead voters.

Oyebamiji made the assertion at the inauguration of 7,830 polling unit canvassers drawn from Ifedayo, Ila, and Boluwaduro federal constituency areas, where he also announced the defection of several political figures including two former elected officials into the APC’s campaign structure. He said his administration, if elected, would be anchored on fairness, transparency, accountability, and equitable distribution of resources across the state’s 30 local government areas and 332 wards.

He described the canvasser inauguration as a strategic effort to deepen grassroots penetration at the polling unit level, saying the initiative was designed to ensure direct voter engagement in the final weeks before the election and to counter the mobilization advantage the incumbent held from the structures of the state government.

APC Campaign Council Director-General Oluwole Oke urged the newly inaugurated canvassers to treat their role as central to the party’s victory strategy and to remain committed to consistent grassroots engagement through polling day.
