Gombe State Governor and Northern States Governors’ Forum Chairman Alhaji Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has congratulated the Emir of Gombe, His Royal Highness Alhaji Dr. Abubakar Shehu Abubakar III, on the 12th anniversary of his ascension to the throne, describing him as a dependable partner in governance, peacebuilding, and development who had brought uncommon vision, dignity, innovation, and excellence to traditional leadership.
In a congratulatory message issued by his Director-General of Press Affairs Ismaila Uba Misilli, Inuwa Yahaya praised the monarch for promoting peaceful coexistence among the diverse communities within his domain, inspiring his people through exemplary leadership and humility, and consistently leveraging his royal influence to attract meaningful development to his emirate and the state at large.
He commended the Emir’s commitment to education and human development, particularly through programs aimed at supporting less privileged children in acquiring quality education. He said the Emir’s role as a rallying point for unity, peace, and progress in Gombe State was evident in his performance across 12 years as both Emir of Gombe and Chairman of the Gombe State Council of Emirs and Chiefs.
The governor, who holds the traditional title of Dan Majen Gombe, prayed for continued divine guidance and protection for the Emir and wished him sound health, greater wisdom, and many more years of peaceful and impactful reign
