President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has met with candidates for the Lagos State House of Assembly who emerged from the recently concluded primary elections of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
During the meeting, the President congratulated the candidates on securing the party’s tickets and urged them to remain committed to the APC’s ideals and vision.
Tinubu charged the candidates to deepen their engagement with grassroots communities, strengthen party structures at the local level, and work diligently to mobilise support ahead of the 2027 general elections.
He emphasized the importance of unity, discipline, and effective representation, noting that the success of the party would depend largely on its ability to maintain strong connections with the electorate and deliver on its promises.
The President also encouraged the candidates to uphold the values of good governance and public service while working towards securing victory for the APC in the forthcoming elections.
The meeting forms part of ongoing consultations and strategic engagements by the ruling party as it intensifies preparations for the 2027 general elections.
