Makinde Distributes 100 Operational Vehicles to Security Agencies in Oyo

Governor Seyi Makinde has handed over 100 operational vehicles equipped with communication gadgets to security agencies in Oyo State as part of efforts to strengthen security operations across the state.

The vehicles were distributed to several security outfits, including the Nigeria Police Force, Operation Burst, the Department of State Services, the Nigerian Correctional Service, and the Amotekun Corps in Oyo State.

Additional operational vehicles were also presented to the Oyo State Road Traffic Management Authority (OYRTMA).

Speaking during the presentation ceremony on Thursday, Makinde described the initiative as part of proactive measures aimed at improving security coordination and response capabilities in the state.

“This is one of the proactive measures we have been talking about. I’m sure we have learnt from our mistakes,” the governor said.

The vehicles are expected to support surveillance, emergency response, patrol operations, and inter-agency communication among security personnel operating within the state.

The Oyo State government has repeatedly pledged to strengthen security infrastructure and improve collaboration among security agencies to tackle crime and ensure public safety.
