IGP Disu Visits Edo Police Command, Meets Oba of Benin to Strengthen Security Collaboration

The Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Rilwan Disu, has paid a working visit to the Edo State Police Command as part of efforts to strengthen policing operations and improve security across Edo State.

During the visit, the IGP also paid a courtesy call on Oba Ewuare II at his palace in Benin City.

The monarch, formally known as Omo N’Oba N’Edo, Uku Akpolokpolo, Oba Ewuare II, CFR, is the 40th Oba of the historic Benin Kingdom.

The visit highlighted the growing partnership between the Nigeria Police Force and traditional institutions in advancing peace, public safety, and community-based security initiatives in the state.

Police authorities said the engagement forms part of ongoing efforts by the force leadership to deepen collaboration with key stakeholders and enhance security coordination at the grassroots level.
