Innovation Minister Plans Enugu Campaign Group Backing Tinubu and Mbah for 2027

Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology Kingsley Tochukwu Udeh has announced plans to launch a political mobilization group in Enugu State in support of President Bola Tinubu and Governor Peter Mbah ahead of the 2027 elections.

The organization, named As Tinubu and Mbah Move, or ATM, is expected to be formally unveiled in Enugu next Wednesday. At a preparatory meeting, Udeh said 17 branded buses had been procured to support mobilization across communities, wards and polling units.

He urged members to prioritize direct voter engagement rather than publicity alone, saying the group’s performance should be judged by its ability to organize support at the grassroots. Udeh expressed confidence in the prospects of both officeholders but acknowledged that effective local organization would be essential.

The minister said he intended to spend more time in the South-east during the campaign period to coordinate the movement’s activities. He described the group as a platform for participation by supporters and community representatives.

ATM coordinator Igboke Onyebuchi said the meeting was convened to agree on structures before local government mobilization begins in November. He said membership included community organizers, union figures and participants from civic groups, including people without previous careers in party politics.

Onyebuchi added that the organization had developed a community map to guide its outreach and planned to encourage participation by younger professionals. The initiative is a partisan campaign effort, and its claims of prospective electoral success remain political projections.
