2027: Tompolo Steps Up Tinubu Reelection Campaign, Deploys Vehicles to Yobe, Taraba

Political mobilization for President Bola Tinubu’s 2027 reelection campaign has intensified in Yobe and Taraba states following the deployment of campaign vehicles and equipment by the PBAT Door to Door Movement.

The organization, whose Grand Patron is Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, launched grassroots mobilization activities in Damaturu and Jalingo as it expands its campaign structures ahead of the presidential election.

The vehicles are expected to support mobilisation across communities, wards and polling areas.

Tompolo was represented at the events by Kester Pondi, Managing Director of Tantita Security Services.

The group based its campaign for Tinubu’s reelection largely on the argument that economic reforms introduced by the administration require additional time to produce their full results.

Tompolo maintained that increased revenues available to state governments had strengthened their ability to execute projects and meet financial obligations.

He also pointed to local government autonomy and improved revenue flows as benefits associated with ongoing reforms.

The campaign acknowledged that some economic measures had imposed difficulties on Nigerians but argued that major reforms often involve periods of adjustment before their benefits become fully visible.

In Taraba, the movement donated 25 campaign vehicles as well as generators and public address equipment.

Governor Agbu Kefas said his administration was implementing projects that reflected the objectives of the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Agenda and maintained that residents could assess those projects for themselves.

In Yobe, Governor Mai Mala Buni, who also serves as Deputy Director General of the APC Campaign Council, expressed support for the mobilization initiative.

Represented by Deputy Governor Idi Gubana, Buni said the state’s political structures had been reorganized from state level to wards in preparation for the election.

National Coordinator of the PBAT Door to Door Movement, Sunday Asuku, said the organization intends to extend its activities to communities, farms, streets, wards and polling units.

He urged supporters to promote what the movement considers the achievements of the administration while challenging the claims of opposition parties.

The mobilization in Yobe and Taraba signals an expansion of early grassroots campaigning as political organizations begin positioning for the 2027 presidential contest.
