2027: Uzodimma Expands Renewed Hope Campaign to Grassroots

Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma has intensified efforts to take President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope message directly to communities across Nigeria as political mobilization gathers momentum ahead of the 2027 general election.

The initiative combines grassroots organization with media and digital communication designed to explain Federal Government policies, counter misinformation and obtain feedback from citizens.

Structures associated with the mobilization effort are being extended from the national level to states, local government areas, wards and polling units.

Uzodimma had earlier warned at a national mobilization retreat in Abuja that inadequate communication could create distorted perceptions of government policies and achievements.

He therefore urged supporters of the administration to engage Nigerians directly rather than depend exclusively on conventional government communication.

Director of Logistics of the Renewed Hope initiative, Shehu Usman, said the latest phase would include an expanded media and public enlightenment campaign.

A weekly television outreach programme is also expected to form part of the strategy.

According to Usman, digital and new media platforms will be deployed to explain government policies and connect the administration’s reform message with voters at the grassroots.

He said the proposed mobilization structure would cover Nigeria’s 176,846 polling units, with 25 canvassers assigned to each unit.

If fully implemented as outlined, the structure would produce 4,421,150 grassroots mobilizers nationwide.

The initiative represents an increasingly organized attempt by supporters of the Tinubu administration to translate government communication into political mobilization ahead of the 2027 contest.
