100 Stranded Nigerians Return Home from South Africa

A total of 100 stranded Nigerians have returned from South Africa, arriving at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos after months of uncertainty abroad.

The returnees comprised 82 adults, including 52 men and 30 women, as well as 19 children and four infants.

According to details of the repatriation exercise, the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) sponsored the return of 100 beneficiaries by covering their airfares, while five others travelled back to Nigeria independently as private passengers.

The arrival of the returnees marks a fresh beginning for many who had faced difficult circumstances while stranded in South Africa.

Officials described the exercise as part of ongoing efforts by faith-based and humanitarian organisations to support Nigerians in distress abroad and facilitate their safe return home.
