Niger Delta Creative Industry Expo Set for Asaba in December

Asaba will host the inaugural Niger Delta Creative Industry Expo from December 1 to 5, 2026, bringing together artists, entrepreneurs, investors, technology companies, policymakers and other players in the creative economy.

The five-day event, organized by Mega Fun Plus Limited, is themed “Inspiring Ideas, Empowering Creators, Shaping Futures.”

Organizers said the expo would focus on practical opportunities for young people and creative entrepreneurs across the nine Niger Delta states through training, technology, investment, collaboration and access to markets.

Planned activities include masterclasses, a creators’ bootcamp, artificial-intelligence sessions, business-development programmes, exhibitions, live showcases, networking and certification.

Project Director Ogusbaba Akpobome said the programme would cover film, television, content creation, fashion, design, branding, comedy, photography, videography, music production, podcasting, events and talent management.

The opening day is expected to feature a conference and awards programme focused on the future of the creative economy, technology, investment and regional cooperation.

A Business and Investment Hub will also provide training in financial literacy, enterprise development, business registration, pitching and access to investors.

Organizers said the expo was conceived as a platform for building a stronger creative ecosystem rather than as an entertainment event alone.

They are seeking partnerships with government institutions, financial organizations, development agencies, technology firms, media companies, investors and brands.
