Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has warned members of the All Progressives Congress against anti-party activity and directed grassroots leaders to intensify mobilization ahead of the 2027 elections.
The governor spoke at a meeting with APC local government and ward chairmen in Akure.
He denied claims that he had encouraged any candidate to contest on another party’s platform and said the APC would not tolerate actions that undermined its candidates.
Aiyedatiwa described ward chairmen as central to the party’s electoral organization because polling units are located within their wards.
He directed ward leaders and secretaries to hold regular meetings and bring party stakeholders together to discuss mobilization and election preparation.
The governor said the party’s objective was to build a unified grassroots structure capable of delivering its candidates at the state and federal levels.
His remarks come as political parties intensify internal organization ahead of the 2027 general election.
