President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has departed Abuja for Europe on a three-week vacation as part of his annual leave for 2026.
The President left Nigeria on Sunday afternoon for London, United Kingdom, where he is expected to spend part of the holiday.
He was seen off at the airport by senior government officials, including the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume.
According to a statement by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the trip is part of Tinubu’s annual vacation for the year.
The President’s media and public communications adviser, Sunday Dare, also provided details of the trip in an interview with State House Correspondent Musbau Dan-Wahab.
Tinubu is expected to return to Nigeria at the conclusion of his working vacation and resume official engagements, including preparations for the January 2027 election.
