Badejo-Okusanya Sworn In as 33rd NBA President as Osigwe Hands Over

Oyinkansola Badejo-Okusanya has been sworn in as the 33rd President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), succeeding Afam Osigwe, SAN.

Badejo-Okusanya formally assumed office during an inauguration ceremony held in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, on Friday.

Osigwe administered the oath of office to his successor before formally handing over the leadership of the NBA.

The ceremony was attended by prominent legal practitioners, senior members of the judiciary and other leading figures in the Nigerian legal community.

Badejo-Okusanya’s emergence marks a new chapter in the leadership of the NBA, Nigeria’s foremost professional body for lawyers.

Her assumption of office comes as the association continues to play a significant role in legal advocacy, professional development, judicial reform and the promotion of the rule of law in Nigeria.
