Under the new arrangement, Sooko (Prof.) Adewale Abiodun Oladipo has been retained as Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council. Oladipo previously chaired the dissolved council.
Other members of the reconstituted council are Alhaji Gbadegesin Lawal, Her Excellency Otunba Titi Laoye-Ponnle, Mr Akinola Franklin Omoniyi, Chief Funminiyi Awotide, Mr Orija Samuel Adebayo and Mrs Adewale Adetayo Bola.
Adeleke charged the new council to sustain UNIOSUN’s achievements and work closely with the university’s management to promote further innovation and institutional development.
The governor also expressed confidence that the reconstituted council would strengthen the university’s governance structures and support its continued growth.
The inauguration of the new Governing Council is scheduled to hold on Monday, August 31, 2026.
