The circumstances surrounding his release were not independently verified in the source material.

The abduction had renewed concern about security in parts of Kwara South despite recent efforts to strengthen military presence in the wider area.

The attack occurred after the establishment of an Army formation in Omu Aran, Irepodun Local Government Area.

Security agencies have not been quoted in the source material providing full details of the rescue or release.
