President Bola Tinubu on Thursday met with governors elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the State House, Abuja, as the party begins preparations for the 2027 general elections.

The meeting, held under the auspices of the Progressives Governors’ Forum (PGF), focused on strengthening coordination, mobilisation and political strategies ahead of the elections.

Among those present were Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) and incoming Senator representing Kwara Central, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, and Chairman of the PGF, Imo State Governor Hope Uzodinma, alongside other APC governors.

The governors pledged their commitment to supporting Tinubu and other APC candidates in the 2027 elections, with emphasis on strengthening the party’s structures and improving its electoral prospects across the country.

The meeting is expected to further enhance cooperation between the Federal Government and APC-controlled states as the party intensifies preparations for the 2027 presidential and other elections.
