The All Progressives Congress has named Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma, who also chairs the Progressive Governors Forum, as Chairman of its National Campaign Council for the Osun State governorship election scheduled for August 15, 2026.
According to National Publicity Secretary Felix Morka, the campaign council and its sub-committees will be formally inaugurated on July 28, 2026 in Abuja, with Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni, Senate President Godswill Akpabio and House Speaker Tajudeen Abbas serving as co-chairmen, Presidential Aide Ibrahim Masari as deputy chairman, and Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin as secretary. The party has also constituted specialized sub-committees covering election planning, finance, grassroots mobilization, logistics, media, security, and dedicated mobilization efforts for youth, women and persons with disabilities.
