Renewable energy investment firm All On has reaffirmed its commitment to expanding clean and sustainable energy access across Nigeria, particularly in rural communities, as it marked ten years of operations with a hackathon aimed at nurturing the next generation of clean energy innovators.

Chief Executive Officer Caroline Eboumbou said the company has spent the past decade investing in people, businesses and partnerships that expand energy access nationwide, describing the event as a reflection of the belief that the next decade of impact will depend as much on the innovators the firm inspires as on the investments it makes.

She described All On as an independent impact investing company seeded by Shell to grow Nigeria’s off grid energy market and provide affordable, reliable power to low income households and small businesses.

For the anniversary event, the firm brought together students from the University of Lagos, Lagos State University, Yaba College of Technology and other institutions, organized into six multidisciplinary teams tasked with designing clean energy solutions addressing challenges in healthcare, education, agriculture, fisheries, cold chain logistics and productive energy use. The company said the exercise was designed to encourage innovation, collaboration and entrepreneurship, challenging participants to develop solutions that are technically sound, commercially viable and capable of delivering real social impact.
