The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) has launched a new 3367 toll-free short-code hotline as part of efforts to strengthen emergency response, improve traffic management, and enhance public participation in road transportation across Lagos State.
The agency said the new hotline marks a significant upgrade from its previous long-service code, providing residents with a more accessible, technology-driven, and user-friendly platform for reporting traffic-related emergencies and incidents.
According to LASTMA, the 3367 short code is available free of charge to subscribers on MTN, Glo, and Etisalat (T2) networks, allowing millions of Lagos residents to contact the agency without incurring call or messaging costs.
The authority noted that the initiative is aimed at ensuring faster communication between motorists, commuters, and traffic officials, thereby improving response times to road accidents, vehicle breakdowns, traffic congestion, and other emergencies.
LASTMA said the introduction of the toll-free service also reflects its commitment to promoting accountability, improving service delivery, and leveraging technology to enhance traffic management across the state.
The agency urged members of the public to make effective use of the hotline by promptly reporting traffic incidents and emergencies, adding that timely information from residents would enable traffic officers to respond more efficiently and help maintain the free flow of traffic on Lagos roads.
