Air Peace Secures Brazil Landing Rights, Plans Direct Lagos-São Paulo Route

Nigerian carrier Air Peace has received approval from Brazil’s National Civil Aviation Agency to operate scheduled international services between Nigeria and South America’s largest economy, opening the way for what the airline described as a direct flight that would cut travel time from West Africa to São Paulo to approximately seven hours from a journey that currently involved up to two days of connections through multiple stopover cities.

The airline said the approval, contained in ANAC Ordinance No. 19.449/2026, authorized operations covering regular passenger, cargo, and mail services between Brazil and destinations within Air Peace’s network. It said the route would transform travel, trade, and cultural exchanges between Nigeria and Brazil, two countries with longstanding historical, cultural, and commercial ties that direct air connectivity had long been expected to deepen but had not yet delivered.

Air Peace said it was also advancing applications to Canadian and United States authorities for landing permits for scheduled services into Toronto and New York, had nearly concluded plans to resume operations to Jeddah and Guangzhou, and had finalized three weekly flights to Manchester. The airline said it would commence services to Libreville, Conakry, Bamako, and Douala on August 1, 2026, further extending a network that already covered London, Barbados, and multiple West African capitals.
