The federal presidency has commissioned newly completed female students’ hostels at the Gadau Main Campus and Yuli Campus of Sa’aduZungur University in Bauchi State, as part of the Presidential Commissioning of the 2024 TETFund Annual Intervention Projects across Nigerian tertiary institutions.
The projects comprise two modern 40-room ensuite female hostels designed to improve student accommodation and welfare. The commissioning ceremony at the Gadau Main Campus was attended by representatives of TETFund, the Bauchi State Commissioner for Higher Education and Regional Integration, and university management.
Vice Chancellor of Sa’aduZungur University Professor Fatimah Tahir described the hostel projects as a major milestone in the institution’s drive to provide a conducive learning environment, saying adequate accommodation was a critical component of the university experience. She expressed gratitude to President Bola Tinubu for sustaining the TETFund mandate and ensuring continued investment in educational infrastructure.
The Permanent Secretary of the Bauchi State Ministry of Higher Education and Regional Integration Malam Isa Mohammed Tahir described the facilities as symbols of the government’s commitment to quality education and student welfare, saying the hostels would provide a secure environment where students could live, learn, and develop their potential.
