Governor Seyi Makinde has approved the appointment of Mrs Adenike Ayobami Fasina as the new Head of Service of Oyo State following the retirement of Mrs Olubunmi Olufunke Oni.
The appointment takes effect after the retirement of the outgoing Head of Service, Olubunmi Olufunke Oni, who bowed out of service on 29 May 2026.
According to the state government, Fasina’s elevation reflects her years of dedicated service within the state’s civil service.
Adenike Ayobami Fasina joined the Oyo State Civil Service in 2000 and rose steadily through the administrative ranks, eventually serving as Permanent Secretary in the State Ministry of Finance.
She is a member of the National Institute (mni) and has twice received the Oyo State Merit and Productivity Award in recognition of her contributions to public service delivery.
The government described her appointment as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen administrative efficiency and continuity in governance across the state’s civil service structure.
