Doris Uzoka-Anite Receives African Ministerial Awards

Nigeria’s Minister of State for Finance, Doris Nkiruka Uzoka-Anite, has been honoured with the Best Performing Minister of the Year and African Iconic Minister of the Year awards at the African ’26 Iconic Women Recognition Awards organised by FDN Elevate.

The minister described the recognition as a reflection of collective dedication and teamwork, expressing gratitude to key political leaders, colleagues and organisers of the event.

Uzoka-Anite thanked President Bola Tinubu for what she described as his visionary leadership and for the opportunity to serve under the Renewed Hope Agenda.

She also acknowledged the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, for his leadership and collaboration within the ministry.

The minister further appreciated Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma for his support and encouragement.

Uzoka-Anite commended the organisers of the awards, noting that the initiative has spent 15 years recognising and promoting impactful leadership across Africa.

She dedicated the awards to members of her team, praising their commitment, hard work and strategic efforts in supporting government programmes and policies.

According to the minister, the recognition serves not only as a celebration of achievements but also as motivation to intensify efforts toward delivering meaningful progress for Nigerians.
