Bosun Tijani Launches AI Platform to Improve Access to Government Information

Nigeria’s Minister of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, Bosun Tijani, has announced the launch of an artificial intelligence-powered platform, #GovGuideNigeria, aimed at simplifying access to government information for citizens.

The platform, available on WhatsApp and the web, provides services in English, Hausa, Igbo and Yoruba, and is designed to make public information more accessible, especially for underserved and low-literacy communities.

According to Tijani, GovGuideNigeria allows Nigerians to access information from more than 35 federal ministries and over 60 government agencies through a single, user-friendly interface.

He said the initiative is part of the government’s broader effort to use technology and artificial intelligence to improve public service delivery and bridge language and information gaps across the country.

The minister noted that the platform reflects a commitment to ensuring that digital tools are deployed in ways that directly benefit citizens.

Tijani also acknowledged the collaboration between the National Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics (NCAIR), Meta Platforms, and Publica AI Media in developing the initiative.

He described GovGuideNigeria as an example of how government, private sector partners and local innovators can work together to solve real-world challenges.

The minister urged Nigerians to take advantage of the platform to more easily access government information and services, saying it represents a step forward in making governance more inclusive and efficient.
