The All Progressives Congress has commended party members and supporters for what it described as their loyalty, discipline, and peaceful conduct during the House of Representatives primary election.
In a statement issued after the exercise, the party said the orderly conduct of members and stakeholders demonstrated the unity, stability, and strength of the APC across different levels of the party structure.
The party noted that the House of Representatives primary marks the beginning of a series of internal democratic processes ahead of other scheduled primaries, including senatorial, House of Assembly, governorship, and presidential contests.
APC also praised returning officers, electoral officials, members of Independent National Electoral Commission, and security agencies for ensuring what it described as a peaceful, transparent, and credible exercise.
The party further congratulated Funmi Efuwape on her emergence as the APC candidate for the Remo Federal Constituency House of Representatives seat.
According to the party, Efuwape’s victory reflects the confidence and trust party members have in her leadership qualities, dedication, and commitment to the ideals of the APC.
The statement expressed confidence that she would provide quality representation and serve her constituents with integrity and excellence if elected.
The APC also thanked party supporters and stakeholders for their continued cooperation and commitment toward the collective progress and success of the party.
