AbdulRazaq Credits Tinubu’s Leadership for APC’s Growing Electoral Appeal in Kwara

Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has attributed the All Progressives Congress’s growing electoral attraction to the transformative leadership of President Bola Tinubu, saying the unprecedented number of aspirants seeking the party’s tickets demonstrated that the APC had become the dominant and most credible political platform in the country.

Addressing House of Assembly aspirants at the APC state secretariat in Ilorin, AbdulRazaq drew a sharp contrast between what his administration met in 2019 and what Kwara had achieved since, saying he had built more roads in seven years than his predecessors did in 16, cleared inherited salary and pension backlogs, paid counterpart funds to the Universal Basic Education Commission that had not been honored for seven years, and expanded access to both education and healthcare in ways that were now yielding measurable results.

He assured aspirants who did not secure tickets that the party valued their participation and that formal candidacy was not the only pathway through which their readiness to contribute to the state would be recognised, indicating that appointments would be available as an alternative avenue for engagement.

He urged all aspirants to support the party and work toward a united front ahead of 2027, saying the APC remained the vehicle best positioned to continue the development agenda that had already transformed the state. He added that President Tinubu was expected to visit Kwara before the end of the year to commission a number of state projects.
